“Thank you for recently delivering the GingerLead to me in advance of my dog's knee surgery. Having a 110 pound
Great Pyrenees and living on the second floor had me concerned about my ability to take care of him properly
after surgery. Having the sling in advance allowed him to get used to it. I brought him home from surgery today
and it worked out perfectly! I was able to support and navigate him down and back up the stairs this afternoon by
myself, even though he was groggy and uncoordinated from his pain meds.
This is a totally awesome solution. I hope you will drop off some of your brochures at the VRCC hospital. Adam's
surgeon, Dr. Devitt, was quite impressed when I showed it to him.”

“Topi is a 17 year old Dachshund with a history of luxations of both her right knee
and hip sequentially. Her current diagnosis is idiopathic hind weakness and she is
given a variety of prescriptions/supplements and acupuncture for discomfort.
About 8 months ago Topi's owner contacted me after she was unable to stand on her
own to ask about my thoughts on dog wheelchairs. I told her that if she was going to
go that route that it was important to make sure the cart would be custom fit for
Topi. (At that time Topi although elderly was still active and engaged). My
client/friend decided to try one of the inexpensive carts that would be fit to Topi's basic measurements which was
still pretty pricey.
I begged her to instead try one of the GingerLeads that I had in stock for my comfort care
business. The harness when used appropriately allowed Topi the freedom to wander the
yard a bit and do her business on her own without tipping over. Topi only needed a bit of
assistance and only for a couple of weeks. Within a few weeks whatever had caused Topi
to go down had resolved and she was back to walking and doing potty on her own.
Now Topi is again weakened by age and a progressive immune disorder. She is still
engaging and can wobble on her own but on some days GingerLead lends a hand. Topi is
not long for this world but I believe that the harness vs a cart gave her the independence
and kept her legs strong for this past year of quality life.”
